The Viney Agency

Holly Smale

Clumsy, a bit geeky and somewhat shy, Geek Girl author Holly Smale spent the majority of her teenage years hiding in the changing room toilets at school, scraping abuse off her belongings. After she was unexpectedly spotted by a top London modelling agency at the age of fifteen, nothing changed at all: she spent the following two years falling over on catwalks, going bright red and breaking things she couldn’t afford to replace. By the time Holly had graduated from Bristol University with a BA in English Literature and an MA in Shakespeare she had given up modelling and set herself on the path to becoming a writer.

Now a fully-fledged author, Holly’s teen fiction series, Geek Girl, is the biggest selling teen series in the UK and is translated into twenty-six different languages across the world.  Geek Girl was also winner of the Waterstone’s Best Teen Book in 2014 and shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize.

There are six Geek Girl novels in the series:  Geek Girl (Geek Girl 1), Model Misfit (Geek Girl 2), Picture Perfect (Geek Girl 3), All That Glitters (Geek Girl 4), Head Over Heels (Geek Girl 5) and Untitled Geek Girl 6 coming in 2017.  There are also three Geek Girl Special novellas: Geek Drama (for World Book Day), All Wrapped Up (A Geek Girl Special) and Sunny Side Up (A Geek Girl Special).  Holly Smale also wrote a Geek Girl short story called Team Geek which was published as a surprise giveaway in 2013.

The FINAL book in the bestselling, awared-winning GEEK GIRL series is here.

Harriet Manners knows almost every fact there is.

Modelling isn’t a sure-fire route to popularity. Neither is making endless lists.

The people you love don’t expect you to transform into someone else. Statistically you are more likely to not meet your Australian ex-boyfriend in Australia than bump into him there.

So on the trip of a lifetime Down Under Harriet’s to-do lists are gone and it’s Nat’s time to shine! Yet with nearly-not-quite-boyfriend Jasper back home, Harriet’s completely unprepared to see supermodel ex Nick. Is the fashion world about to turn ugly for Geek Girl?

It’s time for Harriet to face the future. Time to work out where her heart lies. To learn how to let go…
